Unavoidable Induced Subgraphs of Large 2-Connected Graphs

چکیده
Ramsey proved that for every positive integer $n$, sufficiently large graph contains an induced $K_n$ or $\overline{K}_n$. Among the many extensions of Ramsey's Theorem there is analogue connected graphs: $K_n$, $K_{1,n}$, $P_n$. In this paper, we establish 2-connected graphs. particular, prove exceeding two, one following as subgraph: a subdivision $K_{2,n}$, $K_{2,n}$ with edge between two vertices degree and well-defined structure similar to ladder.

Unavoidable doubly connected large graphs
A connected graph is double connected if its complement is also connected The following Ramsey type theorem is proved in this paper There exists a function h n de ned on the set of integers exceeding three such that every double connected graph on at least h n vertices must contain as an induced subgraph a special double connected graph which is either one of the following graphs or the complem...
متن کاملGraphs with unavoidable subgraphs with large degrees
Let `,(n, m) denote the class of simple graphs on n vertices and m edges and let G C `6(n, m) . There are many results in graph theory giving conditions under which G contains certain types of subgraphs, such as cycles of given lengths, complete graphs, etc . For example, Turan's theorem gives a sufficient condition for G to contain a K,,„ in terms of the number of edges in G . In this paper we...
متن کاملUnavoidable induced subgraphs in large graphs with no homogeneous sets
An n-vertex graph is prime if it has no homogeneous set, that is a set X of vertices (2 ≤ |X| ≤ n − 1) such that every vertex not in X is either complete or anticomplete to X. A chain of length t is a sequence of t+ 1 vertices such that for every vertex in the sequence except the first one, its immediate predecessor is its unique neighbor or its unique non-neighbor among all of its predecessors...
متن کاملOn Unavoidable Induced Subgraphs in Large Prime Graphs
Chudnovsky, Kim, Oum, and Seymour recently established that any prime graph contains one of a short list of induced prime subgraphs [1]. In the present paper we reprove their theorem using many of the same ideas, but with the key model-theoretic ingredient of first determining the so-called amount of stability of the graph. This approach changes the applicable Ramsey theorem, improves the bound...
متن کاملUnavoidable subgraphs of colored graphs
A natural generalization of graph Ramsey theory is the study of unavoidable subgraphs in large colored graphs. In this paper, we find a minimal family of unavoidable graphs in two-edgecolored graphs. Namely, for a positive even integer k, let Sk be the family of two-edge-colored graphs on k vertices such that one of the colors forms either two disjoint Kk/2s or simply one Kk/2. Bollobás conject...
